What interests a child? Is it only chocolates, dolls or the latest gadgets, even mobile phones? Or, is jiving to the latest music videos, being bombarded on music channels day-in-day-out, the only thing they are interested in?
We know the polite answer to that is “no”. But do we really know what is it that goes on inside the mind of a child?
Here is a collection of poems and stories written by a seven-year-old girl, Abhijita Gupta now in Class 2, which gives us a peep into this question. She started writing when she was just a few months over five.
Going by what she writes about, one can say that every little thing around her matters.
